Venue - This is an outdoor event. Natural shade is provided by trees on the east side of the grounds, adjacent to the piping competitions. A folding chair might be helpful there, in addition to the bleacher seating. For other events you might consider a hat, umbrella and/or similar sun protection.
Accessibility - The grounds and washrooms are wheelchair accessible. We do provide some parking near the pedestrian entrance to the grounds for physically challenged visitors, but this space is limited. We suggest arriving early in the day if this is required.
Food - Food is available from several vendors, and the Knox Presbyterian Church provides a full noon-hour meal in the auditorium, at reasonable cost.
Seating - There is ample bleacher seating for all events.
Pets - We discourage attendance of dogs or other pets, since the venue and events are not suited for them. Should it be absolutely necessary to have a pet on the grounds, stoop and scoop is expected, and they must be on a leash or similar restraint.
Parking - We do not charge for parking on the grounds. There is no need to park on the roadways outside the grounds, and visitors are asked not to do so. Event organizers and local officials appreciate your cooperation.
Accommodation - There is a variety of excellent overnight accommodation in the Oxford County area. Check the ”Where to Stay” section of the Tourism Oxford website, http://www.tourismoxford.ca/ or visit Oxford County Bed & Breakfast Association http://www.bbcanada.com/associations/oxfordcounty
